“Greed is good” file

Apparently studying economics makes you a worse person: http://www.linkedin.com/today/post/article/20131021124625-69244073-does-studying-economics-breed-greed?trk=tod-home-art-list-large_0. Something tells me this indicates a bias in our approach to economics.

It’s fascinating to start reading graduate texts on economics – I find myself arguing with (generally unstated) assumptions within a page or two. It’s not so much that I think they’re wrong, but I think they are important and need to be motivated.
